Sedalia Visual Art Association is an organization of area artists, both professional and amateur, who are dedicated to providing a forum for their artistic expression with the opportunity to learn from each other.
The Sedalia Visual Art Association meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. in the meeting room of the Central Bank Sedalia ’s Annex, 403 W. Broadway (across the street from the main bank, on the corner of Broadway and Moniteau). Monthly meetings include lectures and demonstrations by guest artists, as well as programs exploring the use of various media.

Workshops, field trips and paint-ins are planned throughout the year and are open to all area artists — members and non members. Workshops may include such topics as print making, figure drawing, photography, portraiture, pottery - including traditional and Raku firing,

The Association, along with the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, sponsors a SVAA Members Only Show, May through August in the Goddard Gallery at State Fair Community College. Space is also available in the Liberty Center for individual and group shows.

SVAA members receive a discount on fees for workshops, SVAA sponsored activities, co-sponsored activities with Mid-Missouri Artists, and a 15% discount on all art materials purchased at the SFCC Bookstore with membership card.
